Day out in the Community

Essex Cultural Diversity Project funded and organised an outdoor event at Jaywick Martello Tower ‘Bhaji on the beach’ to encourage more diverse communities to visit coastal seaside towns, county parks to support physical health and mental well being. We enjoyed a day out in Jaywick with food, Henna, outdoor film screening, African drumming and more.

Eid in Colchester - Jul 2021

Eid al-Fitr - which means 'festival of the breaking of the fast - is celebrated at the end of Ramadan - the fasting period. Eid al-Adha - which means 'feast of the sacrifice' - is celebrated just over two months later, at the same time when many Muslims perform the Hajj pilgrimage. We celebrated our pilgrimage at the castle park. Thanks to Colchester Borough Council for their support.
